Aspen Center For Enviornmental Sciences Nature Hike

Explore the Snowmass Nature Trail on a two-hour guided tour with an Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) Naturalist. Learn about the incredible diversity of wildflowers and more as the gentle trail winds in and out of lush alpine meadows and Aspen forests and a beautiful beaver pond.

Age Range: 6 years and up

Snowmass Ice Age Discovery Hike

Learn about Snowmass’ incredible Ice Age Discovery on a guided tour with an Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) Naturalist. This is an easy two-hour, 3.5 mile hike adjacent to the site of the incredible fossil discovery.

Age Range: TBD
When: Daily, June 16 – September 3 | Weekends September 8-10, 15-16, 29-30
Time: 1:00pm (2 hour round-trip tour, approximately 3.5 miles)
Where: Meet at the Ice Age Discovery Center on the Snowmass Village Mall
Level: Moderate hiking and leisurely pace

Lost Forest At The Top of Elk Camp Gondola

Activities include an alpine coaster, zip lines, biking trails, ropes challenges and climbing walls. There are ponds to fish in, creeks to hike along, places to enjoy nature alone or in groups, two disc golf courses and passionate guides to help you find your next adventure.

Snowmass Rodeo

A must-do family activity, this authentic Westernevent features bull riding, team roping, and barrelracing. Kids love the Calf Scramble and MuttonBustin’ competitions, petting zoo, mechanicalbull rides, and roasting marshmallows around a campfire.
