Activity: SNOWMASS WILDFLOWER HIKE

Location: Meet at the Ice Age Discovery Center on the Snowmass Mall
Level: Moderate hiking, leisurely pace

Explore the gentle, kid-friendly Snowmass Nature Trail on a guided 3.5mile hike with a Naturalist from Aspen Center For Environmental Studies (ACES). Learn about local ecology and an incredible diversity of wildflowers as this 2-hour tour winds in and out of lush alpine meadows and aspen forests.

Activity: ELK CAMP FARM TO TABLE DINNERS

Activity: SNOWMASS ICE AGE DISCOVERY CENTER
Time: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Location: Ice Age Discovery Center, on the Snowmass Mall

Touch replicas of mammoth and mastodon teeth. Wonder at full size skull and femur fossil replicas. Read Ice Age books in the children’s library. See video from Denver Museum of Nature & Science and learn the story of the Snowmass Ice Age discovery through creative displays, educational panels and interactive programming. Suitable for adults and children of all ages.

Activity: SNOWMASS RODEO
Time: Gates open at 5:00 pm, Rodeo starts at 7:00 pm
Location: Snowmass Rodeo Grounds

This authentic western event includes bull riding, team roping, barrel racing, and bronco riding. Kids compete in calf scramble and mutton bustin’. There’s even a petting zoo and a mechanical bull. Top off the night with s’mores around a cozy campfire. Free admission for VIK’s 10 years and under.

Activity: KIDS’ CRAFTS
Time: 4:00pm – 5:00pm
Location: Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Center, Base Village

The mountains are sure to inspire unique creations at this free crafts hour for children ages 3 and up. Parents can join in the fun to fashion unique vacation mementos such as hats, backpacks and picture frames. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Activity: FAMILY FUN ZONE AT THE SNOWMASS FREE CONCERT SERIES
Time: 6:00pm-8:00pm
Location: Fanny Hill Concert Venue

Kids can romp through the Family Fun Zone, which is complete with a bouncy house, face painting, hula hooping, and more while Mom and Dad kick back and enjoy the sunset as acclaimed artists take to the Fanny Hill stage.

Activity: FAMILY EVENING AT THE SNOWMASS VILLAGE RECREATION CENTER
Time: 4:00pm – 8:00pm
Location: Snowmass Recreation Center

Play in the outdoor heated saline pools. Pick up a basketball game in the gymnasium or test your agility on the climbing wall and bouldering cave. VIK families will have full access to all the amenities at the Snowmass Village Recreation Center at a discounted rate. Food and refreshments are available for purchase.

Activity: SING-A-LONG AND S’MORES
